Activists in California confronted Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Tom Wheeler at a speech in Silicon Valley this week to bring up the link between cancer and cell phones. No wonder America is lagging behing so many countries for safer controls over cell phone radiation. The FCC is led by a former lobbyist; the lobbyists are led by former FCC leaders.
Several activists can be heard interrupting Wheeler throughout his speech, asking why the FCC has ignored safety issues surrounding cell phones, cell towers and smart meters.
“Hey Tom, how many people have to die from brain cancer before the federal government puts warning labels on cell phones?” one activist shouts.
Wheeler can be seen ignoring the questions, even smiling at activist. Despite the onslaught of questions, Wheeler ignores the activist’s concerns and instead makes light of the situation.
Although event staff can immediately be seen removing the unknown activist from the room, several others soon stand up.
“Thanks for my husbands brain tumor and many others, Tom,” a woman shouts.
Wheeler attempts to brush off concern by giving the crowd a bureaucratic answer with no substance. Several more activists are removed from the room before the video’s end.

Founder of RF SAFE, John Coates pointed out that President Barack Obama put “a Wolf in sheep’s clothing” when he appointed the former chief lobbyist for the wireless industry to chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which regulates the safety of wireless devices.
This is yet another astonishing conflict-of-interest in the choice of appointed Federal Regulators, who better resemble wolves guarding the sheep, rather than advocates for the health of the public at-large.
Tom Wheeler, head of the CTIA from 1992-2004, has been appointed to Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This is no different then having a tobacco CEO appointed as Surgeon General of the United States.
Tom Wheeler made his living defending the wireless industry from allegations of health hazards even when the scientific data showed a link between cell phone radiation and cancer.
RCR Wireless News, an industry publication, alleges that Mr. Wheeler suppressed and biased the research from the nation’s largest mobile phone health research project while he served as head of the CTIA, the wireless telecommunications industry association.
