Abstract

Overview

In recent years, the use and exposure to microwave radiation from wireless technologies like 5G have significantly increased. This includes the installation of millions of smart utility meters, directly impacting households.

Findings

  • Early research indicates that 5G base stations cause health problems in humans and that similar radiation damages brain neurons in animal studies.
  • These damages could potentially lead to severe neurological conditions, including Alzheimer's disease.
  • Current guidelines based on old data only protect against acute, intense exposure effects and fail to protect against cancer, DNA damage, oxidative stress, and other neurological effects.
  • The limited protection extends to biodiversity, with existing standards not safeguarding against broad environmental impacts.

Conclusion

Current ICNIRP guidelines are not sufficient for health and environmental protection concerning RF radiation. Adverse biological effects are noted well below the current threshold for concern, not only including thermal effects but also non-thermal ones. New policies should factor in long-term exposure and signal complexity, emphasizing the need for independent scientific review and stricter regulations.

The imposition of such radiation without informed consent is considered a violation of human rights, necessitating immediate action to halt 5G rollout and revisiting regulatory frameworks.
