Abstract

Overview

With the global prevalence of mobile phone usage, the study of electromagnetic wave radiation from these devices has become crucial. The potential carcinogenic effects have been highlighted by numerous researches.

Findings

  • The study assesses thermal and non-thermal pathways of radiation effects.
  • The thyroid gland, due to its superficial location and proximity to radiation transmitters, is particularly vulnerable.
  • Prior research supports a link between mobile phone radiation and thyroid dysfunctions, though definitive causality has yet to be established.
  • Lack of isolation from external electromagnetic sources has been a limitation in previous studies.

Conclusion

This investigation is set to utilize a true experimental design via an animal model within an anechoic chamber, allowing for controlled examination of electromagnetic influence, focusing on signal frequencies and specific absorption rates within the chamber.

Parameters involved in the study along with a thorough description of the anechoic chamber and its functionalities in minimizing outside electromagnetic interferences are presented.
