Abstract

Overview

The proliferation of mobile and wireless communication technologies has escalated concerns regarding the effects of radiation on human health. This study introduces a novel fuzzy logic-based decision algorithm, aligned with ICNIRP guidelines, to evaluate the biological impacts of non-ionizing radiation.

Methodology

The algorithm utilizes fuzzy logic, incorporating precise membership functions and optimized rule selections for reliable modeling. The study analyzes various parameters of 4G and 5G networks, such as electrical and magnetic field strengths, frequency ranges, power densities, and exposure durations.

Application

Designed for rapid and straightforward risk assessment, this algorithm facilitates the evaluation of radiation safety for diverse social groups including residents, on-site workers, and professional users.

Health Effects from Non-Thermal Effects

  • Examination of the broader scientific discussion on non-thermal RF-EMF effects.
  • Themes include non-ionizing radiation's potential to cause diseases, affect the nervous system, and induce symptoms like headaches and dizziness.
  • Critical analysis of both in vivo and in vitro studies across different research types and funding sources.

Conclusion

While extensive research has yet to conclusively link adverse health effects to 5G frequencies, emerging studies suggest a recalibration of scientific perspectives towards recognizing potential risks. Continued research is essential for more definitive conclusions in the upcoming decade.
