Abstract

Overview

The study aimed to pinpoint electromagnetic field (EMF) sources perceived adversely by the electrosensitive population. This investigation incorporated a web-based questionnaire targeting the general public self-identified as electrohypersensitive (EHS).

Findings

  • Predominant Concerns: Mobile devices and phones were the most frequently indicated sources affecting well-being adversely, noted by a significant majority of the study group.
  • Demographic Insights: Analyses show that older individuals and those living closer to mobile phone base stations (MPBS) reported increased symptoms.

Conclusion

Mobile devices are deemed the highest concern for EHS individuals. Proximity to MPBS and age increases perceived health risks. The study also highlights the variability in EMF source sensitivity, suggesting a complex and heterogenous nature of EHS.
