Clear evidence of cell-phone RF radiation cancer risk
Abstract
Overview
During a three-day meeting from 26-28 March 2018, convened by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) National Toxicology Program (NTP), significant findings were discussed regarding the effects of cell-phone RF radiation.
Findings
- The technical reports peer-review panel meeting took place in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
- The meeting focused on reviewing the NTP's draft reports from carcinogenesis studies of cell-phone RF radiation in mice and rats.
- The results suggest that current RF exposure guidelines may be inadequate for protecting human health.
Conclusion
Dr. James C. Lin, the author of the study, recommends that the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) should re-assess the existing research and consider reclassifying RF radiation to a higher risk category, indicating a stronger probable link to cancer.
