Abstract

Overview

Mobile phones and their base stations, functioning as two-way radios, emit radio frequency radiation which can expose nearby individuals to these emissions.

Findings

  • Research indicates a potential link between proximity to cellular antennas and various health issues such as cardiovascular problems, skin complaints, fatigue, and more.
  • A significant finding is the higher incidence of cancer reported among individuals living within 400 meters of mobile antennas.
  • Females have reported more health complaints compared to males in these areas.
  • Increased risks of neuropsychiatric complaints have also been noted among residents living near cellular antennas.

Conclusion

The studies underscore the importance of adhering to national and international safety standards by telecommunication companies to minimize health risks.
