Abstract

Overview

With the continuous growth of electromagnetic fields from various sources such as electrical devices and mobile antennas, aligned with population increase, this review aims to explore their effects on bees globally covering literature from 1968 to 2022.

Materials and Methods

The study utilizes a comprehensive literature review from numerous databases including Scopus, EBSCO, IEEE, Wiley, Google Scholar, and Taylor & Francis.

Findings

  • Reviewed 36 studies assessing the impact of electromagnetic fields.
  • Notable increase in studies from 2019 with a growth rate of 6.86% annually over 54 years.
  • Poland and USA lead in research output and significance.

Conclusion

The research underscores the significant influence of electromagnetic fields on the metabolism and viability of bees, underlying potential environmental and ecological risks.
