Abstract

Overview

The Advisory Group on Non-ionising Radiation (AGNIR) 2012 report is scrutinized for its role in shaping official guidelines on radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic fields safety in the United Kingdom and its influence on global health protection agencies.

Findings

  • The report contains incorrect and misleading statements.
  • Notable omissions and apparent conflicts of interest compromise its suitability for health risk assessment.
  • The executive summary and conclusions did not reflect the true scientific evidence.

Conclusion

Issues such as independence from ICNIRP and conflicts of interest must be urgently addressed, especially in anticipation of the WHO Environmental Health Criteria Monograph on Radiofrequency Fields. Decision makers and individuals require trustworthy information to effectively safeguard public health.
