Abstract

Abstract

Overview

With the rapid development of communication technologies, human exposure to electromagnetic fields has significantly increased. This study focuses on understanding the health impacts of electromagnetic waves from base transceiver stations (BTS) on workers.

Methods

  • 240 workers participated, divided into case and control groups.
  • Assessment included general health conditions, electromagnetic waves exposure, and completion of the general health questionnaire (GHQ).
  • Data on blood parameters were rigorously analyzed.

Findings

  • Significant differences in anxiety and insomnia were observed between the groups, as per GHQ.
  • Statistical significance was noted in blood cell counts between the groups.

Conclusion

Blood parameters reveal significant changes in BTS operators, suggesting substantial health risks due to occupational exposure to BTS waves.
