Compare Phone Radiation Levels with RF Safe
As you shop for a new cell phone, you might be wondering about the potential health risks associated with radiation exposure. RF Safe offers a convenient tool to help you compare the specific absorption rate (SAR) of different phone models, so you can make an informed decision about which device to choose. Click here for a guide on how to use this feature to compare up to three phones.
What is SAR?
SAR is a measure of the amount of radiation absorbed by your body when you use a cell phone. It’s expressed in watts per kilogram (W/kg) of body tissue. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sets a limit of 1.6 W/kg for SAR levels, but many experts believe that this limit is outdated and may not adequately protect against potential health risks.
Introducing Quanta Cage Matches: CLICK COMPARE
RF Safe has dubbed their SAR comparisons “Quanta Cage Matches” to reflect the potentially harmful effects of radiation exposure from cell phones. When you use a cell phone, you’re essentially taking a quantum punch at the cellular level. The effects of these punches are not fully understood, but some scientists and doctors warn of the potential for long-lasting health effects from repetitive exposure to microwave radiation.
SAR ranking list by brand:
It’s important to note that SAR levels may not always reflect real-world usage scenarios. The FCC guidelines for SAR testing allow for a separation distance between the phone and the user that may not reflect how most people use their devices. Additionally, the current SAR limit was set over a quarter of a century ago when cell phones were much less common and may not be sufficient to protect against potential health risks from long-term exposure.
At RF Safe, we believe that it’s important to provide consumers with all the information they need to make informed decisions about their health and safety. That’s why we offer our Quanta Cage Matches to help you compare phone radiation levels and make the best choice for you.
