Abstract

Overview

Although nature relatedness is generally seen as beneficial, it may also relate to concerns over artificial environmental factors.

Findings

  • A study involving 510 participants used a questionnaire to explore the connections between nature relatedness, electrosensitivity, modern health worries, spirituality, and somatosensory amplification.
  • Nature relatedness showed strong links to both electrosensitivity and modern health worries.
  • The role of nature relatedness significantly influenced the relationship between modern health worries and electrosensitivity through binary logistic regression analysis.

Conclusion

The study highlights how perceptions of what is "natural" vs. "modern" or "artificial" can impact health related anxieties, particularly regarding modern technologies and electromagnetic fields.
