Supporters Of RF Safe
Picketing in front of a Verizon & AT&T As you can imagine Verizon employees confronted us within minutes of our arrival - they asked us if we had a permit, and we asked them if they informed their costumers about health risk of using cell phones. The Verizon employee did not reply and returned to his store to call Clearwater’s finest (Police Dept) in hopes to hide the truth about cell phone hazards.
RF safes strategic planning of this event had the approval of Police Officers on the scene. This let our demonstration continue despite Verizon’s attempt to have us arrested for trespassing! The officer clearly stated we would have to call their costumer to us and we could NOT approach them as they entered the stores with safety info or we would be arrested.
Our picketing was a huge success even in the sense of recruiting new demonstrators for our next event. Everyone in that shopping plaza got our message about cell phone hazards. We handed out detailed information about cell phone hazards explaining what Verison and AT&T don’t tell them.
After a long day we decided to call it quits around 6pm, our picketers were exhausted from the blazing sun and heat! All of us would like to thank the manager of Clearwater Mattress for bringing out several rounds of bottle water to keep us going All Day!
We are currently planning more demonstrations in front of the same stores to show them the increase in the public’s interest in cell phone safety – when “Told The Truth”. If only 50% of the people that agreed to participate in our next event due, our demonstration size will grow by 300%.
Take Action Aug 10th Update:
