As the
festive season rears its head, a councillor is urging parents to beware buying
mobile phones as presents for their children.
Wayne Daley,
prospective parliamentary candidate for Blyth Valley, wants parents to
consider the effects of mobiles on youngsters' health.
Many reports
suggest that extended use of mobile phones by young people aged nine to 17 can
have an effect on brain wave activity, and that this may adversely affect
their health.
